Last
Monday, also the last day of 2012, I went to a senior student’s apartment to
celebrate New Year’s Eve. All the guests were from the table tennis team of our department. As far as I am concerned, it was the first time I
celebrated New Year’s Eve in Taipei, and I even took a train back to here just
two hours before the celebration started.
First,
we had a delicious hot pot together at six o’clock. However, most of the food
and vegetables were washed and cooked by female members. Only one male member
went to the kitchen to help the girls cook while other boys were playing card
games in the living room.
Second,
after we finished eating, we started to play card games, such as 風聲 and三國殺. Apart from playing cards, we
exchanged secrets and gossiped. Time flied so fast, three hours passed and
it was 11:55. We strived to link to Youtube page by using the computer, but we
failed. Fortunately, one guy’s smartphone succeeded at 11:59, and we watched
the fireworks around Taipei 101 just in time. What a surprise!
